Did you know that it takes 1,300 to 2,000 olives to produce 250 ml of oil? This factory was founded by Manuel João António Nunes in 1906. At that time, the production was done with animal-drawn machines, but today the factory has a modern extraction unit that produces virgin and extra-virgin oils. Bottles of different sizes can be purchased on site and a tasting session is held to explain the production process (provided you have a reservation and understand Portuguese).
