This small museum houses beautiful pieces that feature decorative motifs inspired by the city's Islamic past.

Another núcleo of ethnographic interest, the weaving workshop, is a reminder that the production of woollen blankets is one of Mértola's oldest activities. In this small museum located next to the tourist office, several weavers are responsible for keeping this tradition alive and presenting the wool cycle. Some superb pieces are on display, featuring decorative motifs inspired by the town's Islamic past. In addition to blankets, wool is used to make rugs, socks, hats and other utilitarian or decorative objects.
