Covering 430 m² and with more than 3,500 titles, Ikezi has been a veritable institution in the Kigali cultural landscape since 1998. It offers a wide range of books in French and English (adult and children's literature, humanities, school and university books...), as well as a large selection of magazines. The section devoted to the Great Lakes region (Rwanda, Burundi, DRC) is particularly well stocked (history, economy, testimonies, novels...). Literary events are also organized. Ikirezi also makes stationery.

Pas très facile à trouver (je suggère des panneaux sur la route principale toute proche), l'accueil du patron posté derrière son comptoir vous fait vite oublier les quelques minutes à tourner dans le quartier. Romans, essais et livres scolaires sont complétés par ce qu'il faut en nécessaire de bureau. La part belle est faite, bien entendu, aux livres sur l'Afrique et, spécialement, aux ouvrages consacrés au Rwanda (et quelle littérature !) Ouvrages en français et en anglais sont conseillés par un patron polyglotte à l'accent allemand. Cet homme est sympathique en diable !

Il reste que vous avez la possibilité de vous restaurer dans une petite cafétéria juste attenante à la libraire. Merci pour vos bons conseils !

bon choix de livre en anglais et français, prix très corrects. Et un très bon choix de livres sur le Rwanda. En plus, le café attenant sert de bons désserts, café et autres jus de fruits, sur la terrasse avec vue sur toute la ville. Connexion internet aussi.
