THE TOMB OF THE QUEEN (MUSALLA)

The Queen's Mausoleum is still there. The interior is amazing: It is dotted with a series of niches painted with slightly dull colors. The walls are covered with blue Persian earthenware, decorated with floral motifs. The whole is topped by a blue dome with inscriptions drawn from the Koran and high 25 m. The plane is modeled. The facades are covered with ceramic mosaics and decorated with plant motifs. This tomb is always regarded as one of the jewels of Islamic architecture. There are three tombs inside the mausoleum: those of Gohard Shad, Hussain Baïqara and a child. The tomb of Gohard Shad is in marble. It is the smallest but the most beautiful invoice. Musalla's construction and decoration was supervised by Queen Gohard Shad.
