Built by a British company, Intercontinental opened in 1969. It is probably the best known hotel in Kabul, which survived all wars and suicide attacks (June 2011). Located west of Kabul, it hosts conferences, journalists from all over the world and Afghan politicians. Most of the rooms have been renovated. The location of the hotel is very nice. The breakfast buffet is very popular on Friday for the brunch, from 11 am to 15 pm.
