The place itself looks like a "ferme", but is very carefully redesigned. It feels warm and cozy, with a fireplace, but also a little bit upscale. The house has a nice terrace where you can enjoy an appetizer before dinner.
The staff is unbelievable friendly. We were greeted very warm-heartedly. The service is very attentive, but discrete at the same time. Our french is very bad, but we were able to communicate just fine.
The wine list is not too big, but includes a lot of good wines. You can also get a corresponding wine pairing, which we did not try.
The food is amazing. As we both do not eat meat, we asked the chef if we could have the 8 course menu without meat. This was not a problem. We got 3 vegetarian courses and 2 with fish, 1 cheese course and 2 desserts. Everything was perfect. The fish was cooked to perfection and smoked in the kitchen. The taste was unbelievable. I also liked that a lot of the herbs that were used, corresponded with the area around the restaurant, like the sorrel. Even the dessert was something special. The pre dessert featured a beer ice cream and the second desert included asparagus ice cream. Creative and delicious.
We will definitely come back soon.
