MUSEUMKEL DERLON

Careful excavations prior to the construction of the Derlon Hotel uncovered some incredible archaeological finds. The cellar contains Roman remains from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th centuries, a well from the 3rd century and a Celtic road dating from the^5th century BC. The entrance is not in the hotel but in the adjacent street on the right. A funny detail not to be missed is that the Derlon Hotel, a 4-star hotel on the Onze Lieve Vrouweplein, has added a^5th star, the one that is the symbol of Maastricht. Local humor of a sort.
