Sublime gothic church of the XIIIth century transformed into a bookshop of any beauty. The side chapel dates from the 14th century. It was used as a church by the Dominicans until the arrival of the French in 1795. Note the superb fresco representing Thomas Aquinas. The only modern feature and the highlight of the place is the large three-story library. Rob Brouwers, the architect in charge of the restoration, also worked on the renovation of the Kruisherenhotel. This address is simply breathtaking and you should definitely stop by.

Il existe quelques librairies extraordinaires de par le monde ; El Ateneo à Buenos Aires (un ancien théâtre) ou Lello à Porto (victime de son succès, elle est payante!!!), celle-ci mérite absolument le détour si vous passez à Maastricht. Et vous pouvez y boire un excellent café dans le cœur de l'ancienne église. Il n'y a pas encore trop de curieux, alors on vous laisse regarder les livres, les voûtes gothiques et photographier le tout. C'est très facile à trouver, entre les deux places principales de la ville. Compléter avec la visite du Kruisherenhotel, installé aussi dans une ancienne église par le même architecte.
