FRIES MUSEUM

The Friesian Museum is the biggest attraction in Friesland, attracting many visitors every year. The collection is as important as it is diverse. It includes many pieces of silverware, numerous paintings, including a portrait of Saskia van Uylenburgh, Rembrandt's future wife and yes. The museum also houses the Museum of the Resistance. An entire section of the museum is devoted to the life of the sultry Mata Hari. The museum also has sections devoted to furniture, the textile industry and archaeology.
