This high-altitude trail between Rhodes and Maclear is a superb environment for picnicking.

Highest altitude track in the country! An absolutely superb environment between Rhodes and Maclear (105 km). Picnic area up there at 626 m. In order to find the ideal path for this route, we would have followed the one taken by a horse. Poor beast! Going down towards Maclear, the Oakleigh site has a series of dinosaur footprints. These fossil footprints, dating back some 200 million years, are the oldest in the country. So keep an eye out for some amazing encounters with history.

Route difficile mais splendide
Très rocailleux au début.
Circulation inexistante, prendre ses précautions.
Passage délicat vers une forêt, très glissant.
Ne regrette pas du tout.
