Austere wines, rich and complex, very subtyped land. One of the few areas where it is possible to buy old vintage. Try the Cabernet sauvignon 2002, shiraz 2002 and vergenoegd 2001. A superb Dutch Cap farm dating back to the late th century, with antique furniture. The area is home to a restaurant.
