Art galleries exhibition spaces foundations and cultural centers Capetown

The first gallery to move from its tiny space to a huge design space in a warehouse in City Bowl! The exhibitions there are generally very well chosen. Soon followed by many other galleries, "What if the World" was selected in 2007 as one of the 50 emerging galleries in the world by the very select Contemporary Magazine, because of its rapid development which attracted many collectors. The gallery has an artist's studio in the center, which can be visited by appointment only.

It's Cape Town's new arts and creative economy hub. A large arts and cultural centre housed in a former factory, much like today's Woodstock district. In the workshops and offices, young companies, designers, draftsmen, photographers and other artists constitute a real economic incubator for design and artistic creation. There are also two cafés, numerous designer clothing stores, a trendy hairdresser... and street art murals everywhere. A real hipster hangout.
