Jessica is a hippopotamus who had a touching story during the floods that hit Mozambique and South Africa.

This is the touching story of Jessica, a barely born hippo, stranded on the banks of the Blyde River during the terrible floods that hit Mozambique and South Africa in early 2000. Tonie and Shirley Joubert took her in and she became attached to her saviors, even sleeping in their house! Today, she joins a wild herd of hippos at night but always comes back to be pampered by the Jouberts. She now has an adopted son, Richie, rescued in 2012. An incredible encounter with these charming molosses.

nous sommes allés plus ou moins par hasard a la rencontre de jessica et nous l'avions pour nous seuls, c'est vraiment sympa comme expérience, nous n'avons pas eu le temps cette année de retourner la voir avec notre fille, on espère lors de notre prochain voyage, elle est sur notre plan de route !
