JESSICA THE HIPPO
Jessica is a hippopotamus who had a touching story during the floods that hit Mozambique and South Africa.
This is the touching story of Jessica, a baby hippopotamus, stranded on the banks of the River Blyde during the terrible floods that hit Mozambique and South Africa in early 2000. Taken in by Tonie and Shirley Joubert, she became attached to her saviors, even sleeping in their house! Today, she joins a wild herd of hippos at night, but always returns to be pampered by the Jouberts. She has an adopted son, Seun, rescued in 2012, and Luku, born in 2024. An incredible encounter with these charming dogs.
