Hô Chi Minh lived in this teak-wood house, located next to a small pond in the palace grounds, from 1958 to 1969.
In the foreground stands the former palace of the governor general of Indochina. In accordance with the image of simplicity that he had forged for himself, Ho Chi Minh did not want to inhabit it. His residence, next to a small pond in which a few carp swim (symbols of longevity), is located in the palace park. The house is superb, all in teak wood. A very nice modern style open staircase leads to the first floor and to his office. He stayed there from 1958 to 1969.
