THU LÊ ZOO AND TEMPLE VOI PHUC (KNEELING ELEPHANTS)
The zoo is relatively well maintained even though it is very far from European standards. We can see monkeys, elephants, but also, in a more surprising way, sheep, an exotic animal that is suspected of having difficulty adapting to the jungle.
Very close, we can admire closely the true kings of the tropical forest, the impressive tigers, unfortunately in their cages, but not so dissatisfied with their fate as births have taken place in recent years.
The Voi Phuc Temple (of the Elephant Kneeling) is located inside the zoo of Thu Brazil. Built in the th century under King Ly Thai Tông, this temple is dedicated to Prince Linh Lang. This was the fruit of the king's ancillaires love with a young peasant woman who met on a boat trip on Western lake. A natural child, Linh Lang was nevertheless recognized by the king and by fate since, at the head of an elephant phalanx and such Hannibal, he bouta the Chinese invaders of the Sông dynasty outside the country. The temple was restored in the th century. A faithful guardian of the country's ancestral, he witnessed in 1873 the destruction of a French detachment.
