East of Hanoi, in the Gia Lâm district. Festival of the trade village of Bat Trang, specialized in ceramic objects. The celebration aims to express the respect and gratitude of the villagers towards their ancestors and their protective genius, as well as to honour the deserving craftsmen it shelters. The second day of the festival is considered the most important with a procession in traditional costume, a bath of the bay vi (the tablets naming the ancestors and the protective genius) and a procession of the bay vi from the protective genius to the communal house.
