Basalt organs made of lava, used to build the castle and some of Usson's homes.
If you follow the Sentier de la Reine Margot to the Butte d'Usson, you won't want to miss this natural curiosity. These basaltic organs are composed of lava that has cooled to form hexagonal columns resembling organ pipes. This rock was used to build the castle and some of the village's dwellings. Explanatory panels provide further details. It's a sight like no other!
