RAILWAY MUSEUM

The museum is housed in the old Ponferrada railway station where coal was transported from the Sil coalfields throughout the region. It offers an interesting journey through time with different models of steam locomotives, including the last ones used in Europe. We also see various types of wagons (goods, passengers, platforms...) as well as a diesel tractor, used to inspect the tracks. Also objects and several documents allowing to better understand the history of the railway. A visit much appreciated by the children.
