Things to see and do Plasencia

Popularly known as the Santo Domingo, it was built in the th century by the lords of Zuniga and now welcomes the parador. Come and admire its Renaissance cloister and its old chore adorned with azulejos from Talavera.

It is one of the most beautiful palaces of Plasencia, built in the fifteenth century by the marquis of Mirabel who were ducs of Plasencia. On the outside, you will notice its Plateresque balcony, unique in the city. The interior houses a magnificent neoclassical patio of two floors, decorated with Roman archeological remains and azulejos from the Yuste Monastery. There is also an interesting collection of nineteenth-century hunting pieces.

In a th century hospital, the regional costumes and crafts of the region are exposed.

Set in the most representative and well-preserved tower of the medieval wall, restored and rehabilitated in May 2002, it makes it possible to better understand the features of this wall as well as its history but also the life of the medieval city that was Plasencia. There are exhibition rooms with informative panels, old maps of the city, audiovisual documents and models. You will be able to walk through parts of the wall on the round paths and we will also have very nice views of the city, the cathedral and the mountain.
