Gothic cathedral with a museum where you can see the Cathedral's treasure, works by El Greco and tapestries
The cathedral is an essentially gothic building, which was built between the 12th and 16th centuries. Inside the building, the Anglo-Norman style of the transept, the frontispiece and the vaults are surprising. Eleanor of Plantagenet, wife of Alfonso VIII, who installed her court in Cuenca for ten years, is at the origin of this influence. In the museum, the Cathedral's Treasure, works by El Greco and ancient tapestries are worth seeing.

La visite de la cathédrale est intéressante à Cuenca, elle comprend également le cloître et peut comprendre si vous prenez l'option la montée à la gallérie entre les deux tours de la façade, avec vue intérieure et extérieure de la cathédrale. Le cloître et les bâtiments annexes sont intéressants. Le nombre de chapelles latérales est allucinant, elles sont bien décrites par l'audioguide. Le cloître est également beau à voir.

L'extérieur de la cathédrale est magnifique, ainsi que les vitraux. A l'intérieur, il y a une exposition d'art moderne et la qualité des peintures et sculptures est surprenant. Le Tarif d'entrée un peu excesive, mais il est possible de rentrer au moment de la messe.
