Redoute, one of the most prestigious buildings in Budapest's city center, a performance hall hosting several exhibitions.
Pest's Vigadó is one of the most prestigious buildings in the city center. Inaugurated in 1864, this work by Frigyes Feszl embodies an astonishing blend of styles (Gothic, Moorish, Romanesque) typical of late 19th-century Hungary. Renovated after several years of closure, the Redoute now houses several exhibitions a year and serves as a concert and performance venue (classical concerts, operettas...). Numerous guided tours are organized (see website), including the large concert hall and a fantastic view from the rooftops.
