BUDAPEST JAZZ CLUB

This institution of Pest's cultural life has moved from a pretty townhouse to a former cinema: it's a little dark, but nevertheless warm, especially at lunchtime. Concert halls and the café-bar fill up with jazzophiles (and everyone else) in the late evening, in this lively district of Ùjlipótvàros on the banks of the Danube. Several jam sessions open to all during the week. Students from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music also come to play a few free sessions.
