Cinemas Budapest

Built in a grandiose Moorish style for the millennium celebrations of 1896, the Uránia was originally a cabaret theatre. In 1901, the first Hungarian film was shot on its rooftops. Since then, the Uránia's cinemas have only hosted film screenings. A small facelift was offered to him for his 100 years of cinema in 2001. The rooms, in a Moorish style of a flashy palace, are unique. Do not miss the large projection room (dísz térem).

Another art house cinema! We warned you, the center of Budapest is full of them and it's so much better. This one, on the main boulevard, has only one cinema, which does not prevent it from participating in all sorts of festivals. But above all, its ticket office hides a colorful café.
