Gavdos offers visitors wild beauty, crystal clear blue waters, dreamy sunrises, enchanting sunsets, enchanting beaches and cedar trees growing right on the sea. The secret of an unforgettable holiday in Gavdos is to have made the decision to do nothing but enjoy the landscape and above all to take full advantage of the sea. You will be spoilt for choice among the beautiful beaches. Most of them are deserted and open to nudism. Among the isolated beaches, that of Potamos: one reaches this reddish sand beach bordering a crystalline sea, emerald color, by sea taxi, from the port of Karévé. The cedar beach of Sarakiniko, the most popular, 1.5 km from Kareve, with blond sand, dazzling under the sun, shallow turquoise water, is one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. The beach of Trypiti, the southernmost point of Greece and Europe, is only a few kilometres from the coast of Libya. The Daiana beach located in the Aspés region, accessible only by boat, with small white pebbles bordering a translucent, turquoise sea, is a small paradise on earth. The pebble beach of Korfos is one of the quietest, with translucent waters. Without forgetting those of Agiannis, Lavrakas in the north, Pirgos in the west and Karameles (pebbles) in the south. Close to the beaches, except those that can only be reached by sea, there are bars, taverns and mini-markets to stock up on supplies or to refresh yourself between two swims.
