CHÂTEAU DE LA MÉDINA (OFFICE NAT. DE L'ARTISANAT)

Also called "Old Palace of the Bey". This large house was built in the late eighteenth century. Transformed into a restaurant under Bourguiba, it then became a craft store, organized by the National Crafts Office. Carpets, souvenirs, clothing and other pottery are spread over 2,000^m2. On the first floor, the terrace offers one of the most beautiful panoramas on the medina, where you can see the mosques and a good part of the medersas (you will recognize the one of the Palm Tree!).
