Remarkable stone statue of Dankó Pista, a Gypsy musician, located near the Szeged City Theatre.
Near the City Theater, designed in 1883 by the famous Viennese architects Fellner and Helmer, stands the stone statue of Dankó Pista, the famous self-taught Gypsy musician. Although he couldn't read music, his poetic and touching folk songs have spanned generations. His songs include: Without Wind, Mills Don 'tTurn , Szeged Has No More Witches and Mon violon s'est cassé.
