ORTHODOX SYNAGOGUE OF MISKOLC (ZSINAGÓGA)

Jews settled in northeastern Hungary from the beginning of the th century. The beautiful Synagogue synagogue was realized by Ludwig Förster, a famous Austrian architect. It has a remarkable facade with an entrance to three arches. In the court, a plaque was engraved in memory of Jewish martyrs of the Shoah. Of the 16 000 Jews who lived Miskolc before the war, more than 14 000 were sent to death camps.
