PARÁD CARRIAGE MUSEUM
A museum with a superb collection of carriages in Parád, the only one of its kind in Hungary.
This small museum, the only one of its kind in Hungary, features a superb collection of carriages, occasionally pulled by horses from the castle's stud farm. Housed in a historic 19th-century stable, it displays traditional carriages, fiacres and sleighs, testifying to Hungarian craftsmanship. For the record, the first carriage was invented in Hungary, in the small town of Kocs, west of Budapest, which gave its English name to the "coach".
