EPISCOPAL PALACE (ÉRSEKI PALOTA, KÖNYVTÁR)
Late baroque palace in Kalocsa with a remarkable library featuring a Bible signed by Martin Luther.
The Kalocsa bishop's palace, built in the late 18th century in classical Baroque style, houses a rich library of 120,000 volumes, including 56 precious manuscripts and a Bible annotated by Martin Luther. The Astriceum archiepiscopal museum, which displays liturgical objects, sacred artworks and the history of the archdiocese, is also worth a visit. The ensemble illustrates the cultural and religious importance of Kalocsa, one of the country's two historic archdioceses.
