FORMER SYNAGOGUE - MŰVÉSZETEK HÁZA
Splendid classical-style synagogue dating from 1890 and preserving its tablets of the law. The site has been transformed into a cultural center.
The former Szekszárd synagogue, erected in 1896 in neo-Moorish style, now houses the Művészetek Háza, a multi-purpose cultural center. It retains its tablets of the law at the top, a reminder of its religious past. The venue offers temporary exhibitions of applied and fine art, as well as concerts and screenings. Admission is generally free, offering free access to the cultural wealth of this historic building.
