A remarkable mausoleum to discover in Pécs, where the most eminent members of the Zsolnay family are laid to rest.
Situated on a promontory 400 m outside the Zsolnay district, this mausoleum is almost the highlight of the factory's creations. Built at the turn of the century by Tádé Sikorski, at the request of Vilmos Zsolnay, who had just lost his son. The most eminent members of the family are buried here, including Zsolnay Vilmos and his wife. Today, visitors can admire the decorated tombs, ceramic frescoes, starry dome and 21 pyrogranite lions adorning the staircase.
