Sopron Town Hall, built in 1497, the city's oldest administrative building.

Built in 1497, it is the city's oldest administrative building. In 1681, the Diet met here regularly. What we see today is the result of extensive renovations carried out in 1896; only a carved wooden door has been preserved from the original construction. The second floor houses the town's archives, with 15,000 volumes, 5,000 medieval documents and registers dating back to 1391.
