Remarkable fortress, the largest and most accessible in Komárom, with a museum retracing the site's history.
This is the largest and most accessible of Komaróm's three fortresses. Listed as a Historical Monument, it covers over a hundred square kilometers and boasts almost 4 km of underground galleries. Inside, a small museum (same opening hours as the fortress) traces the history of this fortress, occupied by the Russians from the Second World War until the early 1990s. Guided tours at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm.
