SZEGEDY RÓZA HÁZ
Museum in Badacsony dedicated to the poet Sándor Kisfaludy and his wife Róza Szegedy, as well as to vine-growing in the region.
The Szegedy Róza Ház, a beautiful Baroque house built in 1795, is located opposite the Kisfaludy Ház restaurant. It pays tribute to the Hungarian Romantic poet Sándor Kisfaludy and his wife Róza Szegedy, daughter of a vice-ispán from Zala, who brought the house as a dowry. The couple spent their summers here, and Róza produced a famous wine, ürmösbor. Today, the house is a literary and wine museum, presenting visitors with period objects, manuscripts and the history of winegrowing in the Lake Balaton region.
