SIÓFOK LUTHERAN CHURCH
Remarkable evangelical church by architect Imre Makovecz, located in Siófok's Oulu Park.
To the east of the main square, in Oulu Park, the Evangelical Church was built with financial assistance from the Finnish town of Oulu (on the northeast coast of the Gulf of Bothnia), twinned with Siófok. Its striking, all-wooden architecture, with bird's wings unfurling over the entrance, is the work of the famous contemporary Hungarian architect Imre Makovecz, who designed the Hungarian pavilion at the Seville World Fair in 1992.
