The Miska Hussar is 12.5 m long and weighs around 100 tons. Hussars originated in Hungary in the 15th century to counter the Ottoman threat. Created by King Mathias Corvin, these light cavalrymen, armed with sabers, spears and pistols, distinguished themselves against the sipahi. They served the Empire and the Hungarian revolts, earning decorations and prestige. Symbols of bravery, they have embodied Hungarian courage, elegance, honor and patriotism since the Romantic era.
