SERBIAN MUSEUM OF SACRED ART (SZERB EGYHÁZI MÚZEUM)

Adjacent to the Beograda Orthodox Cathedral, this museum of sacred art opened in 1964 and traces the five centuries of history of the Serbian Orthodox community in Szentendre through a plethora of icons and liturgical objects of sacred art, many of which date from the 18th century. It is also interesting to perceive how Szentendre had really become one of the radiant centers of Serbian culture in exile during the Ottoman occupation of Serbia.
