You'll be warmly welcomed by Nadine, a Frenchwoman who has lived here since 1997. The estate features 4 elegant, personalized villa-style bungalows in a contemporary style. The double/triple casitas ( queen-size bed) have large bay windows and a private terrace overlooking the garden. Breakfast is served on the terrace for bird-watching.

In love with Costa Rica since 1997, Nadine will be able to advise you in the choice of your itinerary, of your accommodations, of a good restaurant, to find you a 4x4 at an attractive rate, to accompany you in excursions and/or to welcome you at the airport.

Tacacori Ecolodge has a very strong implication on the ecological level; this establishment was built with a minimum of impact on the nature: no tree was cut to build the villas. All the hot water is produced by solar panels, for the lighting we use energy saving lamps and LED. Showers and sinks are equipped with thermostatic mixers with flow limiters. We promote the employment of the neighboring populations. For our breakfasts we buy our fruits from local producers, we produce our own coffee, no imported products on our table generating CO² for its transport, reduction of packaging by bulk purchases, selective sorting and recycling of waste, etc..

For your stay in Costa Rica, TACACORI EcoLodge welcomes you in one of its 4 private villas, a number resolutely limited to preserve an intimate and personalized atmosphere. We wished to reconcile harmony, comfort and modern materials in a preserved natural environment.
Concerned about the well-being of our clients, we have designed your villa with the greatest care in the heart of a tropical garden.
Airy, independent and preserving the intimacy of each one, the villas all have a large private terrace of 11 m2 and enjoy a very pretty view on the park. Including garden furniture and hammock, the place is ideal for exotic naps under the Costa Rican sun.
For your comfort, each room has a queen size bed, window-doors equipped with mosquito nets, ideal for restful nights, a pleasantly spacious bathroom with shower and toilet.
In keeping with our commitment to the environment, the design and equipment of the buildings favor the use of natural materials such as bamboo, rattan, cotton or silk.
This mix of technologies and materials offers greater comfort while minimizing the impact on the environment (hot water supplied by solar energy, natural light or energy saving lamps, LEDs, natural ventilation...)
Each room is different, and is characterized by the evocation of a plant or a tree of the garden of TACACORI EcoLodge. This harmony of colors inspired by the plant kingdom brings calm, refinement and serenity, and creates an atmosphere specific to each villa.
A land of volcanoes, visit the POAS volcano
Costa Rica boasts 116 volcanoes, including 5 active ones (Arenal, Irazù, Poàs, Rincon de la Vieja, Turrialba) and 2 dormant ones (Barva and Orosi). They are an integral part of the Costa Rican landscape.
The Poas volcano: The main attraction departing from TACACORI EcoLodge, the Poas volcano is the most visited and accessible volcano in Costa Rica. A morning excursion is available from TACACORI EcoLodge.
A scenic drive through coffee fields, horticultural gardens and pastures takes you to the summit.
From the parking lot, a path leads to one of the world's largest active craters.
From the terrace, you'll have a breathtaking view of the collapsed crater (the caldera), 300 m deep and 1.6 km wide, from which sulfurous fumaroles escape. It contains a turquoise acid lake and, on a clear day, offers magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean. This very active crater has seen at least 39 eruptive episodes since 1828.
Impacts from the last eruption can still be seen on the stairs leading up to the mirador.
The second crater, Botos, is a freshwater lake surrounded by cloud forest.
Journey time from TACACORI EcoLodge: 30 mins
This excursion can be combined with an afternoon visit to the LA PAZ WATERFALL gardens.
