TEATRO VARIEDADES

One of the oldest cinemas in San José, which is part of the national heritage. It is an old theater built in the ^nineteenth century that was converted into a cinema, although it still hosts occasional performances. The Teatro Variedades has been registered as a historical monument since 1999. Its current capacity is 492 spectators on three floors. The building is currently closed by the owner. It is expected that the owner will proceed with the renovation of the theater, as part of a project that has been in the works for several years.
