This small village is located less than 20 km north of Anshun in the village of Qiyanqiao (七檐桥 - Pont des Sept Arches). You are advised to go by taxi. This village is a discovery of the Tunpu, the inhabitants of the village. Far from the tourist sites and camera spots, you can discover here a true Tunpu village. Surrounded by ramparts, this fortified village consists of traditional houses entirely built in wood and stone, as tradition dictates. The Tunpu, or "Old Han" as they are also called, are descendants of the soldiers sent to Anshun under the Ming Dynasty. Until the beginning of the th century, the village was prosperous and endowed with a flourishing economy. The settlers had built this «fortress village» at the time in a military defence perspective. Finally, most soldiers quickly became farmers. The Tunpu people have preserved many traditions, including the nuoxi opera performances, this art that pays homage to the gods and protects the inhabitants. The visit of the village can be done in a day. Here is the opportunity to relax and stroll in this magnificent village surrounded by karst peaks, on one of which was built in 1590 a half Buddhist temple, half-taoist: . temple. Every day, a few old women Tunpu, wearing their indigo tunic and wearing their white cap, find themselves in the yard, such as the guardians of the temple.
