HONGKENG TUMIN VILLAGE
Go there and contact
Hongkeng is a Hakka village famous for its exceptional collection of over 30 tulous. It is home to the Zhencheng Lou, nicknamed the "Palace of the Tulous" for its refined architecture blending Chinese and Western styles. The clay exterior follows the traditional Hakka model, but the interior reveals unexpected influences: Corinthian columns, Baroque sculptures and an interior garden inspired by European courts. The Fuyulou, an imposing square tulou, testifies to the economic power of the Lin clan who built it.
