Travel Guide Yongding 永定

Yongding is located in the southwest of the Fujian province. Very well known for its fortified Villages Hakka, known as Tulou (meaning «land buildings»), Yongding attracts more and more tourists. Classified as UNESCO's World Heritage World since 2008, these famous villages should be spared from any abundant industrialization due to their large number (at least 10 000 in total, some even claim that there would be almost 20 000), even if a phenomenon in Lijiang (Yunnan) is not to be excluded over time. The Fujian south is essentially in rural mountains lined with mountains. This is really the time to discover these landscapes and the communities that inhabit them.
