SOUTHERN DHYANA TEMPLE

Built in 547-548 under the reign of Liangwu, Huguo Temple Si was one of China's 480 largest temples. Under the Tang, Nanchan If occupied an important area and comprised 137 pieces. The temple, recently renovated, was reopened to worship. A monastic community, from Kaifeng to Henan, is installed.
