CHIESA DI NOSTRA SIGNORA DEL PILAR
Charming little Pisan church with a rose window, small arches and a bell tower-wall
This charming little Pisan church dates back to the beginning of the 14th century. An inscription carved on a stone on the façade mentions the year of construction, 1318, and the name of the architect, Arzocco di Garnax. The church was extensively rebuilt in the 16th century, but its façade remains original. It has a rose window, small arches and a bell tower-wall. The 17th century font is interesting for its relief engraved bottom that shows fishes.
