A trail of 8.5 kilometers along the rugged coast of the island of La Maddalena is organized to celebrate the Madonna.
The Maddalena Islands, located in the northeast of Sardinia, off the Costa Smeralda, enter the summer with a festival dedicated to fish. There are processions to the church of the Trinità and celebrations in honor of the Virgin Mary, patron saint of the district of La Moneta. The festival is mainly animated by sports competitions, including the "long walk", a trail of 8.5 km or 6 km along the paths of the rugged coast.
