This friendly hotel was built on the harbour in 1956 and reopened in 2008. You will have no excuse if you miss your boat to Sardinia! Neoclassical in style with a modern design touch, the Excelsior deserves its name. Luxury, calm and pleasure in the lounge, comfort, relaxation and cocooning in the rooms, views, romance and pleasure in the restaurant... This is the programme devised by this impeccable address. You will enjoy the services of a 4-star hotel, such as breakfast in your room, but with the rates of a 3-star hotel. A good deal.

Stayed in a junior suite but there was no iron and ironing board, and no kettle or tea and coffee making facilities - very basic amenities you would expect for this type of room and for a hotel of this type, so that was disappointing. Everything else great and staff were fantastic.

The Perfect Location. Right infront of the ferry port and in the Middle of La Maddalena.
The room is elegant an sophisticated. Have All the amenities. Very spacious considering the european standard.
The breakfast buffet is very good, tasty and fresh.

Chambre petite dont la décoration est de couleur noire (rideau, boutons, ...) il faut aimer.
Le wifi est inexistant et nombreuses coupures. Je suis allé dans le couloir pour terminer un téléchargement. Le top est de savoir que l'eau du lavabo n'est pas potable. Prévoir des bouteilles d'eau pour se laver les dents. Le frigo chauffe mais ne fait pas de froid.
Belle terrasse au 1er pour le petit déjeuner avec un buffet correct. Le solarium au 4eme est à visiter pour la vue sur le port.
Cet hôtel ne mérite pas 4 étoiles à moins qu'elles sont locales.
