DANGGU GEIKIE GORGE

These magnificent gorges, over 30 m deep, are located in the national park of the same name, only 20 km from Fitzroy Crossing. Be sure to check before you leave, as the Fitzroy River can rise up to 12 meters and make the road impassable. Take a guided boat tour to learn about the culture of the Bunuba people and enjoy the beautiful reflections on the water. Several hikes from 30 min to 2 hours are available. Very beautiful sunsets. You can swim there because there are only freshwater crocodiles here, which will not attack you. Closed in 2023 because of floods.
