Byzantine-style cathedral built between 1914 and 1938. Dedicated to Saint Francis Xavier, it was built at the request of missionaries. It stands on a main street in Geraldton, on Cathedral Avenue, and is well worth a stop to discover its beautiful architecture. The interior features large columns inscribed with the names of the missions. Don't forget to visit the crypt beneath the cathedral. Guides available at the entrance. There's also a museum and a café.
