Beautiful viewpoint located in an old mine in the heights of the ghost village of Gormanston (former mining village).
Iron Blow Lookout is a beautiful viewpoint on an old mine, at the end of an impressive road with many curves, on the heights of the ghost village of Gormanston (old mining village). Gold was first discovered at Iron Blow in 1883. Very quickly, it was found that the large deposits of copper present were more profitable. The extraction of the latter had a significant impact on the environment (formation of a gigantic hole, systematic felling of trees, sulfur fumes from nearby smelters).
