Read moreContrary to other lakes, which are the result of volcanic activity, the water of Saint-Eloy-les-Mines has its origin in human activity. In the past, there was a stadium and a fairground here, which were engulfed in a mining collapse. After their closure in 1978, it was decided to embellish the landscape by flooding the galleries. Today, the lake is open for swimming, fishing and pedal boats. On its shore one can relax, picnic, play and do sports.
